This site has been created
as a service to my philosophy and ethics students.
Philosophy
means "Love of Wisdom". I hope our time together will enhance your
discernment in evaluating ideas and concepts about who you are and your place in
the world. Though these ideas and concepts are not new, most of them will be new
to you. You will look at the world and mankind's place in the world through the
eyes of thinkers that have shaped the world before us, and discover that you can
enter into an intelligent discourse with them. These classes (Intro. to
Philosophy and Fundamentals of Ethic) are not meant to provide all the answers,
but are designed to help develop some understanding as to why the world is as it
is, provide some tools to begin a journey of asking the relevant questions about
life, provide foundations to pursue answers, and begin contributing to the world with
discernment and wisdom.
